The diagnosis of Autism is an emotional one for families, and the RT Autism Awareness Foundation wants individuals and families to recognize that they are not without help. A note from RTAAF founder Brad Trahan: On Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 I had the great honor to speak in front of the Minnesota House Health and Human Services Policy Committee, Chaired by Representative Tina Liebling, with regards to an overview of the Minnesota Autism Task Force.
It is always a great honor to testify at the Capitol! 2012 saw the autism community unite in strong fashion with Autism Advocates, Legislator's, State Departments and more. While we understand there is a great deal of work left to get done, it is fair to say that 2012 was a solid year with great positive momentum related to autism in St. Paul. Many people are working long hours to sort this this most complex disability and we can all be proud that Minnesota now has, via the Minnesota Autism Task Force, it's first ever statewide "Strategic Plan".
